Best. Photobombs. Ever.

By Comments (33)

We’ve all seen them: photos where someone or something in the background end up stealing the show. We’ve rounded up some of the best.

By definition, a photobomb is when an unexpected and uninvited subject – be it animal, human, or object – presents itself, intentionally or not, within the frame of a photo. The uninvited subject is known as a photobomber. Here are some of the best photobombs of all time (I saved the best for last).

The real laughing cow

Picture 1 of 13

TV shows and movies that are obviously fake still manage to make us laugh, so who cares whether this photobomb is real or manipulated, it’s still freakin’ hilarious.

    So funny Rhonda!! :)

  • WittigRXN says:

That last one, though funny, is not a photobomb. Having been there, or at least very similar in the cayman Islands. The people running the tours have people in the water who let you pose with those things on purpose. It is possible that they didn’t expect that guy with the ray who has been taking similar photos with others, to lift it up behined them, but it would be unlikely that they didnt expect it. Like many people who get that photo taken, they are creeped out by the things and have similar reactions to them.
I hate to be a stickler, but I have a similar one of my wife and I, and you did builed this one up to be the best.

A good photo, but no more a bomb than any disney ride camera.

Again, sorry to knit pick, which really isnt my nature, I just couldnt help it this time…

    • E says:

      you’re a dumbass

      • Julie says:

Can’t believe your comment, ‘Dumbass” when guy only relating similar experience. Name calling is unnecessary and disappointing.

    • kennybigrig says:

I agree, I did take a second look and you can see the guys head behind the ray pushing it up the ladies backs. Good call. There are so many funny photo bombs no need to go for human induced ones.

    • Chazzmak says:

Sorry to nitpick, but it’s nitpick.

      • WittigRXN says:

That is funny, I had “yarn bombing” on the mind when I read this post. Maybe thats where the knit came from.

    • Happy says:

I do not consider what you said to be knit picking at all. In fact if you look closely at some of the other photos it is clear they are photo shopped and or taken intentionaly. For example the ground hog and sloth pictures. In both cases the foreground is in perfect focus while the background is slightly out of focus. Digital cameras do nto adjust focus that fast if something just pops into view as the shutter is clicked.

  • kennybigrig says:

Personally I am torn between the laughing cow and the tree sloth as the best. The sloth really gets me because of the “leaf” bat ears, but the cow looks so amused at the horse getting his ass caught in the fence. All good though.

  • Annie says:

    Can anyone say “photoshop”?

  • Deborah says:

You forgot the one with the couple in BC who tried to take a picture and a ground squirell popped up just as the camera clicked.

    • Rhonda Callow Rhonda Callow says:

Great suggestion, Deborah. I’ve updated the gallery to include the squirrel photobomb! :)

  • Taylia says:

To me, every one of these pictures look photoshopped ….. I don’t think any of them are real. Remember the days when we said, “Pictures don’t lie.” Unfortunately those days are gone.

And I think the “sloth” is really an oppossum who are known for hanging upside down from tree branches. Or is an opposum a type of sloth?

  • sam says:

the laughing cow would be hilarious, if the horse wasn’t in such a dangerous position, and the wedding picture shows a pervert sneaking photos underneath a woman”s dress, Im surprised you would endorse these photos!

  • Chelsey says:

Geeze people, it’s for fun! Not to critisize every little point so someone has to need to feel right! I find these pictures pretty entertaining myself, either photoshopped or not. It’s called humor.

    • Kathleen Viink says:

I agree with Chelsey. They’re all funny so why not just laugh and leave it at that! Just to make a point, I’m sure the guy pointing the camera up the ladies dress knew a photo was being taken and thought what he did would be funny. Doubt he’s some pervert on the loose. Great collection of ‘photo bomb’ pics Rhonda, real or not. :)

  • Chelsey says:

*because someone has the need to be right!* clumbsy brain :D

  • Jackie says:

You should have included the two hikers in Canada who stopped in front of a beautiful view and a squirrel decided to investigate the camera- it was all over the internet and news as a fun story.

    • Rhonda Callow Rhonda Callow says:

Thanks for your comment, Jackie! I’ve updated the gallery to include the squirrel photobomb. Cheers!

    • Simon Cohen Simon Cohen says:

Hey Dan, sorry you had a bad experience – definitely not what we want for our readers. We were caught off guard yesterday with the success of this gallery and our servers became temporarily overloaded. Rest assured, we’re working hard to figure out where the bottleneck occurred so that it (hopefully) won’t happen again.

  • Dan says:

Welcome to the new “Bell GarbageNET” with “SUCKpatico”.
