Study suggests aliens could attack Earth to save the galaxy
While extreme weather fluctuations and rising sea levels are well-known effects of climate change, a bizarre new study suggests another reason to be wary of the perils of global warming: an alien invasion.
According to the 36-page study, titled “Would Contact with Extraterrestrials Benefit or Harm Humanity? A Scenario Analysis,” visitors from out of this world could see our polluting and destructive ways as a threat to the galaxy, and mount a pre-emptive strike against us.
According to the rather stretched logic of the study, published in the journal Acta Astronautica, extraterrestrial intelligence, or ETI, could observe the changing chemical composition of our atmosphere to deduce our rapid expansion and identify us as a threat to the Milky Way Galaxy.
“If ETI doubt that our course can be changed, then they may seek to preemptively destroy our civilization in order to protect other civilizations from us,” the study states.
Co-authored by Shawn Domagal-Goldman of NASA’s Planetary Science Division and Penn State researchers Seth Baum and Jacob Haqq-Misra, the study addresses several scenarios that could result from a meeting with ETI.
On the optimistic end of the scale, contact with aliens could result in “friendly and informative communication” that furthers our understanding of mathematics, physics and chemistry, and provides ways for us to eliminate disease and world hunger.
Other potential scenarios, however, have somewhat less promising outcomes. In a passage that should elucidate just how seriously we should be taking this paper, the authors write that “a core concern is that ETI will learn of our presence and quickly travel to Earth to eat or enslave us.”
That’s right, eat or enslave us. Other words that pop up in the study include “conquer”, “infect”, “dissect” and “pickle our skulls.” No joke.
Yes, it sounds silly, but it’s hardly intended as hard-hitting science. If anything, it’s simply a fun bit of research compiled by a group of science nerds in their spare time. Lead author Domagal-Goldman stressed that the study was not funded by NASA, and even acknowledged that his proposed outcomes were highly improbable. In a recent blog post, Domagal-Goldman wrote “Is such a scenario likely? I don’t think so. But it’s one of a myriad of possible (albeit unlikely) scenarios, and the point of the paper was to review them.”
So while pickled human head is unlikely to be appearing on alien buffets any time soon, perhaps it’s best not to take any chances. So sort your damn recyclables.

Aliens have been hunting humans in Canada for some time now. The traffic signs along highways have two meanings. Besides being a guide for the speed limit, these signs also have instructions for aliens on the hunt.KM/H stands for “Kill More Humans” and the number is the bag limit!
Hmmm – reminds me of a science fiction story I read about 50 yrs ago, where the aliens landed on Earth, straightened our problems out, and things were going great. Until one of the earthlings working for them as a clerk learned enough of their language, and glanced at a book the aliens were always consulting, titled ” How to Serve Man ” . Oooops – turned out to be a cookbook ! DOUBLE Ooooops !

Our Universe is infinite, if any life form (Aliens)in some far away galaxie, they whont come here anyway. Look around you we our destroying our home and that’s why.. Recylcle,Reduce and Reuse. seven or eight years ago I replied to letters to the editor at time magazine about an article regarding(extoling actualy)space probes,in it I spoke about my fears as follows.who’s to say they are friendly and they don’t think “oh look a space probe and they have put inside where they are(map)math equations telling our composition that we are carbon based and look, they even tell us how many there are, yum yum carbon based my favorite food” now sometimes these people of higher learning are not very receptive to criticism so I decided an example was needed,so I compared them to the the first meeting between euros and n.american natives I believe they were called indians at that time,anyway I digress,I’m sure if the natives had to do it all over again the would probably kill the euros, what did they bring, measles,alcohol,among other things we know about.this scenario could be repeated very easily on a planet wide basis when we meet them and so I cautioned them about my fears about space probes, we may get more than we bargained for.well,I guess it was to controversial for their little rag and wasn’t printed.I now subscribe to macleans magazine cheers

This topic is interesting. We could find 1000′s of reasons to why aliens might want to visit our planets but you know what I think that we actually might be an threat to the alien. Climate change might me only a small thing which is related to our planet but what if the ozone were to weaken and CO2, methane and other harmfull gasses were to enter the space. What if the space junk in space is somehow affecting them. What if space junk we are sending from earth is reduction earth’s weight and also its gravity and as time goes by there actually might be no gravity or Earth’s land to live on. Lets explore the myth of Aliens in light of the knowledge as I gained from the Quran and Hadith (the Islamic scriptures).
Allah (God)has created other creations, other than humans, plants, animals and microbes. They are called the Jinns and Angels. These remains invisible to us. Of the two groups the Angels only obeys Allah’s will and carry out his orders. While Jinns on the other hand has been created with a concious, they obey and disobey (Lucifer or Iblees or Shayatan is from one of them)just like humans. They however dwell away from humans unless extremely bothered by humans (by means of contacting them through black magic/ not following the cleanliess as pescribed by the scripture or a mischief one wanting to venture out (in which case you see practices of exorcism being carried out). I beleive most people that report citing of ghosts are actually these Jinns which can take different forms.
Quran also talk about two nations Yajooj and Majooj (Gog and Magog) in the chapter Kahaf. The nations were locked up behind a strong wall, these are still some where on earth and will be let loose near the ending times, they do have the ability to plunder and conquer and may choose to create pickle heads :-). These creatures will be eventually be destroyed by Allah.
Quran also talks about a creature inside the earth in chapter Noor, If I am quoting it correct, this animal will also appear near the ending times and will speak to people.
Other than these aliens, I personaly do not believe in any other E.T.and take it just another way to engage people in this economic down turn.
