10 rad USB flash drives that your friends will want to steal

By Comments (24)

Here’s a look at ten flash drives that scream “awesome!”

USB Thumb Drive

Picture 1 of 10

Kinda’ creepy, this is a thumb drive in the most literal sense of the word. The USB 2.0 flash drive is only available in 8 GB and will set you back $25 (USD). Dare I say this drive gets a thumb’s up? Buy it here.

Hopefully, they don’t come out with an eight gig LEGO girl, cause that would mean the 4 gig LEGO guy would have to go sixteen or thirty-two gig, because size does matter. The thumb, thumb drive is the best and looks like it is a cast of someone’s actual thumb. My sister says she should have had a manicure before her casting call. Ya she’s a comedian and for sale(lol), seriously.

  • C.D.S says:

    So far, I’m wondering…
    For the “Fingerprint Flash Drive”
What if someone gets a cut (Like a Bad paper Cut) And it makes a Scar…
would it BE ABLE to READ your Fingerprint still?.

(I was also thinking that about those Door Locks that have the same Feature.).

    • Stephend7 says:

It stores 10-primts, so you should store your left AND right-hand finger prints (and your Mum’s too ? ).

    • Robert says:

I have ordered for myself for travel purpose.
The software that comes with it has 10 optional finger print recognizion option, so you can use your left hand or right hand and give your girlfriend access if she is snoopy.

    • Shyandemure says:

What I am curious about would be..okay it stores your finger print…who else could it send it to then you would be on file every where

  • Pat says:

Ok, so these thumb drives look funky – how reliable are they?
Why so much focus on image when what really counts is durability?

    • Hugh says:

It doesn’t store your finger print.
It stores the digital signature that your finger print makes when dragged across a sensor.

      Nothing to be paranoid about.

  • Morgan Jackson says:

Another interesting product line story guys.True that the funky colors ect…, don’t equal a reliable product always but it’s a great gimmick that would put a smile on my little girls face .When I finally sort through all the different flavors of thumb drives, paying a little extra for the funk makes a tech tool turn into a great little gift.Thx for the great idea Rhonda C.

  • Nightrider says:

About paper cut and finger print activated drives – or locks – here is the situation:

With cuts, you do not lose the fingerprint. It happened to me and I was able to open the lock. I have not tried the thumb drive yet of course.

Fingerprints are fool proof, unless you lose the whole finger. Ouch….

  • The Question says:

There is a Transformers Ravage drive that is fully functional and actually can unfold into Ravage (looks like a normal thumb drive when transformed).
    Check it out:

  • Rejean says:

A word of caution…. This USB might be cool….. but perhaps too hot to handle.

I was helping a student with a presentation last spring using my own computer. He brought in a Memory on Hand USB Flash Drive (wristband style) like the one shown in the picture.

It was connected on my desktop for several hours (say 4 hrs).

After finishing the work. I proceeded to remove it from the PC USB port. I almost burnt my finger. Actually it was too hot to handle for several minutes, so much so that I became concerned that the USB could have been a fire hazard had it had been left on the PC longer.

I never experience this sort of overheating with any other USB flash drives.

Perhaps it was a defective unit to begin with. However keep this potential problem in mind when acquiring these units.

  • jean lachapelle says:

if it keeps going you will have the dildo flash drive or toothbrush and many other toys lolllllllllllllllll

  • Steve says:

What a completely useless article. Is Rhonda Callow a high school student? If she is over the age of 18 she should be very ashamed for writing this drivel.

  • Snow says:

Neat but none of them are particularly useful.

The only one I would consider using is the 64 gb unit.
At least, I would if it weren’t one of those useless slide out types.

The onlky really INTERESTING one per se, is the Swiss Army drive. Useful.

  • Will says:

Steve, did nobody ever tell you… If you’ve got nothing good to say, say nothing at all.

  • Chris says:

the tiny flash drive is nice but I prefer the tuff n tiny drive.

  • Kate says:

If you have friends who would steal this stuff from you…it’s time to get new friends!

  • Matt says:

Stop renaming this article and placing it on different spots of the website. What the hell is wrong with the editors of this place?

  • bob says:

it stores your type of fingerprint like whorl so be CAREFUL WITH IT!!!!!

  • Ace says:

What’s the point of putting the Lexar on here? It doesn’t look all that “special” compared to the others. I have one myself and while it has a lot of space for a good price, I don’t see the point of the plastic cover, or the so-called “anti-microbial” protection.
