The verdict is in: the iPad is a hit. This is according to USA Today’s Jefferson Graham, a technology reporter who, in this video, walks us through the pros (and a few cons) of Apple’s much-hyped tablet. The iPad (from US$499) is out this Saturday in the U.S. and in Canada later in April. Will you buy one?

Thanks for the article and link to the video. I have been watching closely the tech news since the Apple iPad was announced this past January. Is it a replacement for the Laptop – not really. Replacement for the Netbook – in my opinion, a resounding yes!
Having looked at a Netbook belonging to my nephew’s wife I would rather spend the extra to get the iPad. Netbooks were designed for persons to surf, email, etc. – in essence – consume media. Apple’s iPad – same thing. But, the iPad, does it so much better in so many ways.
According to Apple Canada’s Website the iPad will soon be available in Canada. I hope it is when I go to visit my daughters in Alberta the end of April where there is a Apple Store so I can try a ‘hand’s on’ demo. Can’t wait!!
