Great apps for Valentine’s Day

By Comments (4)

Looking for some iPhone or iPod touch apps that have a Valentine’s Day feel to them? Look no further.

Here are some iPhone apps you might want to consider getting before Cupid comes to call this Sunday.

Candy Hearts lite - Free iPhone App

Candy Hearts lite - This free app is perfect for those who love the idea of candy hearts but don’t want to add any junk to their trunk with empty calories. Available at the iTunes store here.

iWrite: Love Poems - For $1.99 from the iTunes store, this app will help you get your creative juices flowing, give you tips on writing your love poem and provide examples. Or, for the version rated 17+, you can download the iWrite: Sexy Poems app (also $1.99).iWrite Sexy Poems App

SexySpin - This app will give you a more risqué version of  “Spin the Bottle.” Shaking your iPhone or iPod touch will give you an action, such as kiss or touch. Shake it again to be provided the body part in which to carry out that action. For obvious reasons, this app is not recommended for anyone under 18. It will cost you $0.99 from the iTunes store.

iXplode – Valentine’s Day - Okay, this app isn’t for those who are madly in love. If you are an anti-Valentine’s Day person because you recently had a nasty break-up, you might want to check out this app ($0.99 from the iTunes store). From the product’s description, “Want to send your “ex” a special holiday greeting? How about a heart shaped box of Chocolate being ripped apart in a massive explosion along a custom message straight from the heart? Maybe you just want to blow your “special someone away” with a Valentine’s Day greeting they’ll never forget.” ‘Nuff said.

Kiss Me - If you want a second opinion on your kissing skills before going on that date with your Valentine, there’s an app for that. Kiss Me, available for $0.99 from the iTunes store, rates your smooches when you kiss the lipstick mark on your iPhone or iPod touch. I suppose it’s better than practising on your reflection in the mirror or the back of your hand (do people really do that?).

Okay, this was going to be a “top 5″ list, but here’s a bonus app:

iFlirt appiFlirt - For $0.99 from the iTunes store, this app will provide you with dating tips, pick-up lines, and more. Additionally – though I’m not sure if it’s a good thing or not – the tips and ideas are all submitted by users of the app.
