I concur with your views. This is actually an idea that's been around for some time. I'm very surprised we haven't had one before now. This could be the ultimate student computer. Future proofed, it would be very hard to say no to one of these. I'm an old tech with a 'tethered' setup. One of these would send me out of doors to "greener pastures" ! All it truly needs is a VOIP like the old Acer Ferrari model had (I think it was the 4005 or 5005 model). Suggested price might be on the high side however, Unless the base model is really quite sufficient and only a few luxuries would mean the difference. Love the shiny "Candie apple red" would go nice with a new HEMI retro Charger V8 or maybe the new VOLT Camero from GM??? Here's to a new tech year and wishful thinking!

I believe this is one of the latest innovations that will place another notch on the technology wave. This system/combination is the smartest concept to come out of Lenovo in years. I don't believe this can necessarily be compared to Apple's tablet due to the fact that Apple's innovations are designed to fill tiny voids between their product lines. We all know Apple leads their own parade. The tablet use will be quite a movement since portability of a netbook, laptop, and cell phone has been placed in a portable unit. Uses? Here are a few I came up with...
- sitting on the couch viewing your television and controlling the show on a tablet.
- quick calendar or notes viewing
- students can carry the tablet on an excursion to see additional information through geo tagging
- while on a conference, access information remotely real quickly
- DJs would be scratching and mixing on a tablet screen instead of a record (you listening Serato? I want royalties)
- and many more.

Love it!
