How to create a ‘Windows 7′ taskbar in Windows Vista
One of the coolest new features built into Windows 7 is the improved taskbar that lets you “pin” your most-used programs or files to the bottom of the screen. Simply click the icon to launch the desired app or file (or press the corresponding number on your keyboard). Here’s a trick to add this functionality to Windows Vista.
If you’ve played around with Microsoft’s Windows 7 operating system then you probably got a feel for the much-improved taskbar at the bottom of the screen. For easy access, you can pin your favourite programs or files to the taskbar, hover your mouse over it for a preview thumbnail or click to open it.
If you’re a Windows Vista user, however, you can get a taste of this Windows 7 feature for free. This following step-by-step guide will walk you through how to do it.
1. Download and install the EnhanceMyVista Free software.
2. Launch the program and go to Taskbar (under Customization) and then select “Iconize your taskbar.” Save and close EnhanceMyVista Free and then reboot your PC.
3. After Windows Vista reboots, right mouse-click on the taskbar and select to Unlock the taskbar. Right mouse-click again on the taskbar and select “Large Icons” under the View area.
4. Use your mouse to drag the top corner so that it looks like a larger taskbar, a la Windows 7. Now right mouse-click and select Lock the Taskbar.
5. Finally, download and install this Aero VG theme and after rebooting, you’ll be able to pin your favourite programs or files by dragging and dropping over the taskbar.
Enjoy!

Looks awsome, but isn’t this just a bigger version of the quick launch bar?
I downloaded Enhance;but tried to download Aero VG Theme – saved to desk top where should it had gone?
If you don’t have WinRAR, it’ll probably be a blank white icon because your computer doesn’t know how to open/extract it.
Two methods:
A. Download this ZIPPED version, which Windows can open natively: http://www.mediafire.com/?nfz0ommanmi
B. Download WinRAR and install that: http://www.rarlabs.com/download.htm which will allow you to open the RAR compressed archive.
