Feisbuk: A Facebook…book?

By Comments (3)

Those who really love Facebook will probably also like Feisbuk – a notebook with a dash of Facebook personality.

105F1Here’s something a little bit interesting. Someone named Laura Balboa has created a one-off design that she calls Feisbuk. Basically it’s a hardcover notebook with paper pages that look like the Facebook wall. You write your name and a description in a pair of boxes not unlike the ones on the real Facebook profiles (complete with the default profile image,) then you scrawl whatever you want in the box on the right – which looks like the textbox you get when you want to post something on someone’s wall.

Then you just pass the Feisbuk around and get people to write in it – a wall-to-wall session with two or more people, in real life.

It’s a nice design, really. You can “bookmark” your favorite pages with the fabric bookmark attached to the spine of the notebook. You can use it even when the power goes out. Network with friends in places without internet connections. Keep the pages without fear of the service screwing up and getting your posts deleted (although misplacing the Feisbuk would be pretty much the same thing.)

Only bad part is that Balboa isn’t selling these things yet – it’s just a design study after all, plus it’s in Spanish. However Balboa could probably make quite a bit of money selling these just for the novelty factor – at least until Facebook’s lawyers put a stop to it.
