Talk and drive without fear using the Motorola T325 Bluetooth speaker
As the list of provinces banning phone use while driving continues to grow, Bluetooth speakerphones can reconcile your communication needs with the law.
The writing on the wall is clear: most provinces in Canada will eventually ban motorists from using cell phones while driving. With all due respect to the law, some people work in an environment where ignoring incoming calls is not an option. Your boss may respect the law, but he or she will also be concerned if it forces you to miss-out on time-sensitive opportunities and obligations. We live in a fast-paced world that often requires connectivity. The Motorola T325 Bluetooth speakerphone can help ease those two competing concerns.
Bluetooth speakerphones allow customers to remain within good legal standing and still be available for vital communication while on the road. In the case of the Motorola T325, it provides hands-free operation that requires touching a device only once in order to answer a call. Placing calls is just as easy, provided your phone has PBAP enabled. Press the Favourite Contacts button and then the volume button and the phone will begin naming favourite contacts and most frequently dialled numbers. When the person you wish to call is mentioned, press the call button once more. This will cut down on the number of distracted drivers scrolling through their call logs looking to place a call.
The T325 straps on to the driver’s sun visor, which is a good and bad thing. It’s good that the device slides into a place with easy access, but in the event that you actually need to use the visor to block out the sun, reaching for the device may be uncomfortable and ironically dangerous depending on its position. That is the only flaw I have experienced with the device, but let’s hope you can make room for the speakerphone in a cup holder or console.
The hands-free T325 speakerphone provides a legal, but more important safer, driving experience for people who need to use cellular phones while driving. Keeping both hands on the wheel offers more control, which can make people more comfortable and attentive as a driver and communicator.
Is this device necessary for your work life? Not for most people. However, on-the-go workers who wish to remain within the law will probably say yes. Bluetooth earpieces may be another viable option, but the T325’s ease of use makes this one of the most comfortable hands-free set-ups that I’ve used. The unit automatically turns on or off when the car door opens or closes, noise reduction provides excellent call quality, and the crisp sounds emerging from the speaker are preferable to using an in-ear Bluetooth device. Anyone who wants to keep their hands on the wheel and their link to the world will find the Motorola T325 to be a happy medium.
