Haven’t bought gifts yet? ‘NameYourTune’ CDs great for young kids
Last Sunday I had “mompreneur” Candace Alper from NameYouTune.com on my NewsTalk 1010 radio show in Toronto, to chat about her popular custom music CDs for kids. Then my wife showed me she’s in Chatelaine, and on TV, too. Sleep much, Candace?
There’s still 11 shopping days left before Christmas, and if you’re looking for a great gift for a younger person on your gift list — as in babies or toddlers — consider the Toronto-based Name Your Tune CDs, a personalized music compilation of familiar children’s songs, but with the name of a child sung more than 80 times throughout the disc.
Familiar ditties include “Wheels on the Bus,” “Head and Shoulders,” and “Old MacDonald,” but now it’s “Little Maya had a farm” and so on.
With more than 4,500 names to choose from, you’ll more than likely find the name of a child among the long list — or you can ask Candace to have the musicians record the names the next time they go into the studio (a few times a year).
Buying for twins or triplets? You can have up to three names on one CD. If you like, download the music digitally in an iPod-friendly format.
NameYourTune CDs cost $20, plus $7.50 shipping in North America. Or it’s $18 for two or more CDs.
Plus, Sync readers can use the coupon code “super” for $5 off.
Oh, and yes, that’s Denise Richards holding a Name Your Tune disc…talk about a yummy mummy.

I LOVE these CDs! I bought a few for our kids this summer; they came quick and a pleasure to deal with!
