Deal of the Week: 1TB external drive for $80

Like many tech lovers, I’ve been scouring the electronics flyers this week to sniff out the best deals on HDTVs, laptops, cameras, media players, and more. Here’s a great deal on a 1TB drive.

Iomega 1TB driveIf you’re a digital packrat like me, you could probably use some extra hard drive space to store all your media.

Future Shop is having a Boxing Week sale on an 1 Teraybyte Iomega Select Desktop Hard Drive for just $79.99, while quantities last (with 8,000 units available nationwide).

Powered by an Energy Star-qualified adapter, this small, black and plug-and-play (PC and Mac) external USB 2.0 peripheral (with 7200 RPM) can store up to 1,500 hours of video, 4 million photos or 18,500 hours of music.

Not a bad price at all for more than 1,000 Gigabytes, but has anyone tried it out yet?
