Just gifted one to my father today, and YES you can easily use the video captured with the nano on a PC. The files are saved on the nano as MPEG-4 (.mp4), and are accepted by Youtube or Facebook. To retrieve your videos: Open Itunes > Connect the Nano > Open the device's configuration panel on the left side bar > Check the "Enable Disk use" box > Open My Computer > Find the Nano's Drive (labeled as your Ipod's name)> Open "DCIM" folder > Open "000APPLE" folder > Select your video. ...
