2,222 Stories for iPhone = $0.99 cents
Talk about a “colossal” deal. Literature lovers who own an iPhone or iPod touch can pick up the Colossal Short Story Collection, packing 2,222 works from the public domain.

Fan of short fiction? Spend time commuting on a bus or train each day? Have we got a treat for you iPhone or iPod touch owners.
Now available at App Store (part of iTunes) is the 99-cent Colossal Short Stories Collection, a massive compilation of works from (mostly famous) authors such as Dickens, Twain, Wells, Tolstoy, Poe, Stoker, Lovecraft and Dostoyevsky.
This 24MB download includes a slider to enlarge or shrink the ink-like font to your liking, which is handy, plus there’s automatic bookmarking (remembering where you left off last) and various auto-scroll options to match your reading speed.
These byte-sized stories only take 10 to 15 minutes to complete, apiece.
But despite the awesome selection of works, convenient features and low price tag, the Colossal Short Stories Collection isn’t perfect. All stories are listed alphabetically (by last name), but you can’t search by keyword (at least author or title), which is too bad (with more than 2,000 titles, this would’ve been a good idea). Maybe this will be fixed in a future update.
