KneeBouncers – A website for babies to play and learn
Kneebouncers is an easy to use educational website designed for toddlers. Take a look at what it has to offer.
Kneebouncers is a toddler-friendly website that babies can play games on without the use of a mouse. Designed by two frustrated fathers, Kneebouncers was created by Jim Robinson and Kurt Dommermuth who discovered that there were no websites out that were suitable for their young children who were wanting to play online games like their older siblings.
Kneebouncers offers several educational games and activities for toddlers. Once a game is selected and loaded, the toddler can hit any key on the keyboard to see something happen. For example, the numbers game will show and count balloons when any key is pressed and the shapes game will illustrate various shapes while one of the KneeBouncers characters says what the shape is called.

The KneeBouncers characters all have a little bio when you click on the “Meet the KneeBouncers” cloud from the main page. I thought these descriptions were quite cute, each character having a positive quality to them. For example, Sly Cat the Courtesy Cat’s bio reads, “Sly Cat is a nice friend. He is very polite. Sly Cat always remembers to say ‘please’ when he wants something and ‘thank you’ when something is given to him.”

There is also a download section of the website where parents can either download colouring pages to print off for their young ones or get games they can include on their own website or blog.
In addition to these toddler-friendly and educational games and activities, the KneeBouncers website also has a forum for parents to socialize, chat about parenting concerns or give advice, and even post pictures of their adorable children.
I think this website would be a hit with the toddlers but unfortunately I’m fresh out of babies to test it on. If you’ve got a sticky-fingered, diaper wearing little human and don’t mind your keyboard getting a thrashing, you can check it out here. Don’t forget to leave a comment to tell us what you think!
Another website that is suitable for little ones is KideoPlayer, a place for toddlers to watch safe YouTube videos.
