How to sneak a peek at the redesigned Google.com
Google.com will soon introduce a visual redesign to improve search. Here’s how to see it now.
I’ve grown sick of hearing about the “new Google” that’s supposed to debut soon. People have been asking me about it, I read rumours about it, and I just want to be able to see the darn thing before the year’s out. Thankfully, I don’t have to wait another minute and neither do you.
Here’s how to see the redesigned Google, tweaked to be more visually appealing and easier to discover content. This may not work for everyone, but it’s at least worth taking a shot if you want to see the visual changes that Google may soon implement.
1. Visit Google.com. Make sure you visit the .com address because this trick doesn’t work on Google.ca.
2. Once the site has loaded, enter this code into the address bar:
3. Click the sign-out button and then sign back-in. You should see the newer version of Google.
The content in the “Show Options” panel that previously had to be clicked will automatically load, and people will be able to filter to News results. It will also be easier to distinguish result types and narrow them by age. Let’s hope this improves how quickly and efficiently you are able to access the content you seek.

If this is all the changes that are included in the new “redisgned” google…. pretty disappointing.
Google usually comes with much better stuff (Picasa, Google Earth, G-mail and others)
Hopefully this new page is still in the beta testing stage and they will have more tweaks then just showing options automatically that were hidden before
