Deal of the Week: Nokia Bluetooth Headset for $19

Never let it be said we don’t tell you about the hottest deals. If you’re looking to pick up a Bluetooth headset for your mobile phone, check out this one for just $19, after the mail-in rebate.

Nokia Bluetooth Headset_BH-102_high resFour Canadian provinces have gone hands-free, and with B.C. to follow in January, you might be in the market for a hands-free device to keep your hands on the wheel and eyes on the road.

But what to do if you’re short on cash?

Sure, you can pick up a wired headset for as low as $1 at your local dollar store, but the quality isn’t great and that wire can get caught in your seatbelt.

Well, Nokia has just announced its BH-102 Bluetooth Headset is now just $29.99, and ships with a $10 mail-in rebate.

In fact, you can find this headset for as low as $24.95 at various Rogers or Fido retail locations, plus the rebate, which brings the price down to under $15.

This relatively small (48 x 21 x 11.5 mm) and lightweight (11 grams) black headset has an optional earloop and a rechargeable battery with up to 10 hours of talk time. Standby time tops 180 hours. Range is about 10 metres from the phone you pair it with.

Not a bad deal, huh?

Have you found any high-tech door crashers worth sharing?

I tried to find this headset at Best Buy, Future Shop and The Source. At Best Buy it is $32.99, at Future Shop it is $34.99 and neither knows of this deal and does not handle mail-in rebates. The Source does not have this headset in their store or on their website. Do you know anywhere I can find it other than Rogers and Fido? Do you know where I can buy it on-line?

Telus currently has the product in their corporate stores, typically the bigger ones in malls but it is not listed online on Telus’ site. Best Buy and Future Shop have the product but at their own prices. Customers can still buy from those retailers and download the mail in rebate coupon and mail it into Nokia to get ten dollars back. Wireless Wave, Telephone Booth, 7/11 and some Petro Canada locations also have some remaining but the product is selling out quickly so not all locations will have it in stock.
