It was around the same price, but doesn't have music/fm options. I love it - especially in the fall/winter as the mornings are dark until 8:30-9:00 on the BC north coast where I live. I prefer to sleep in full dark, even in the summer, so this helps with morning grogginess. My SAD (seasonal affective disorder) affects are diminished when I use it. I wake up feeling more alert, and about 5-10 minutes before my main alarm goes off. I don't use it as my primary alarm as I find power outages usually cancel the daily programming. I'm considering buying one for my brother who has always had trouble waking up to an alarm, plus he has a mixture of day/night work shifts.
