Video: An “alarm clock” like you’ve never seen

Hey, Sync readers. I’m sure most of you use an alarm clock to wake up in the morning (though my three little kids usually do the task for me), but I was blown away by this new Wake-Up Light. Check it out.

Also, Simon Cohen, my trusty editor at Sync, says he likes the review of the product I shot in my home on a webcam. As you can tell it’s a lot more “raw” than this produced version (above), but the messaging remains the same. Have a look:

I have to agree with sehnbadt, love the idea, but way too much money.

I bought a bio-light (different brand) last fall using points from Save-On Foods. It was around the same price, but doesn’t have music/fm options. I love it – especially in the fall/winter as the mornings are dark until 8:30-9:00 on the BC north coast where I live. I prefer to sleep in full dark, even in the summer, so this helps with morning grogginess. My SAD (seasonal affective disorder) affects are diminished when I use it. I wake up feeling more alert, and about 5-10 minutes before my main alarm goes off. I don’t use it as my primary alarm as I find power outages usually cancel the daily programming.

I’m considering buying one for my brother who has always had trouble waking up to an alarm, plus he has a mixture of day/night work shifts.
