Want free iPhone or iPod touch apps? Click here.
If you’re one of the millions of iPhone or iPod touch users who surf the App Store in search for new downloads, you know the free ones can be hit and miss. So, what if you can get “paid” apps at no cost?
Cost-conscious shoppers likely scour the top free apps listed along the right-hand side of the App Store (part of iTunes) — but let’s face it, you never know what you’re going to get.
Many developers, however, will drop the price of a paid app down to $0 in order to generate some buzz within the community. But just how are you supposed to find out about them?
FreeAppAlert catalogs all the paid applications for iPhone and iPod touch that are now free — either temporarily or permanently.
Each app listed shows its original price, but with a slash through it to confirm it’s now a freebie, and will directly link you to the app in iTunes if you click on it.
These free apps range from the practical (Asthma Journal; was $9.99) to the fun (Good vs. Evil; was $1.99) to the steamy (Facts About Sex; was $0.99 cents).
If you don’t want to visit this website for all the newest free apps, sign up for an email blast, RSS feed or notification via Facebook or Twitter.
Have you stumbled upon any awesome free apps that used to come with a price tag? Do tell!

Another great iPod app for finding free or discounted apps is AppSniper. AppSniper also allows you to set price alerts for when your most wanted apps go on sale!

If you really want free apps, just hack your iPod like I did to mine. Simple as that.

How do you hack your iPod? is that the same as jailbreak?

Jailbreak your ITouch/Phone using QuickPWN – then install a program called “Installous” aka Hackulous. This is similar to Kazaa, Limewire etc..but only for Apps. People are kind enough to share their paid programs and have them hosted for you. Enjoy.
