The 100 ‘dirtiest’ websites to avoid
Symantec Canada has just released a list of the “dirtiest” websites on the Internet — the ones that contain the most viruses or malware that can harm your PC or steal your identity (or both) — and yes, many of them are “dirty” in that they contain mature content, too.
It can be pretty tricky to figure out which websites are safe to visit and which ones are out to harm your computer — or your wallet.
And so security experts Symantec has listed the 100 worst offenders when it comes to viruses and malware threats detected by Norton Safe Web.
Now, we’ve listed these baddies below, but consider this a disclaimer about what you might find here — not only can these “dirty” websites infect your PC but 48 percent of them, as you might expect, feature adult content, too. Be forewarned some of the URL names might offend some people and is inappropriate for younger eyes.
We’re publishing this list as a warning to steer clear of them, for security’s sake.
Norton Safe Web crawls the Web and performs analysis of millions of sites, and benefits from a network of more than 20 million Norton Community Watch members (whose PCs automatically submit suspicious URLs for real-time scanning and analysis). Viruses are the most common threat, followed by various security risks and browser exploits.

i think the reason they put it up is to give it a little ‘unwanted’ attention, sometimes attacking a topic is better left to proffesionals who can actually be aware of and take the consequences

Well, if I were running one of those sites, or multiple ones, DDOS’ing an article or organization that was steering traffic away from my revenue would be a first order of business. Mind you, I have no idea if they are me or if they would do the same thing in my shoes…

you missed the most important site for the list….. cars.gov
(do not visit) if you go there your pc and files become property of the govmnt.
Any site with porn or which offers file sharing is contaminated. This list is no surprise, however the writers could have included file sharing locations in a separate column.There’s none in this list (that I know of). All the same, good information, good job! Hehehehe…now I am going to check out a few of those sites!
It’s not suprising that Russian sites are listed. Any country well known for scamming on the net, lack of law enforcement, and poverty, falls under my suspect label.
What about there rep for hacking, hosting illegal servers used by hackers and P2P, and being the country of origin of one of the fastest hacking programs on the planet. Russian sites surely desrve a place on this list (or the whole list as there are prob more then 100 dirty sites).
i appreciate someone trying to keep our machines safe. unfortunately, i agree with dave; what about all the other sites? the fact is, there are too many people out there with a Machiavelian view of life, who want to make others suffer for their own personal faults.
also, it offends me that people use sexual content to spread (exscuse the pun!) malicious attacks. sex is the sweetest, most fundamental and most intimate act we can share. it rocks! sex should never be equated with anything bad…NEVER! maybe they are just angry because they aren’t getting it good! LOL.
