Dear Teens: We as parents know you are going to do what you want to do whether we like it or not….. because many of us did the same when we were your age.
Here is what is different: You live in a much more technologically advanced society which comes with equal amounts of rewards and risks. Texting may not be morally wrong, but it is very risky and potentially dangerous.
It can never be guaranteed: a phone will not be lost or stolen or viewed without permission: in which case your photos are now in the hands of…. who knows?
Teens, these days have taken cyberbullying to heights we as parents cannot even begin to understand… we just were not exposed to that. We think we get it, but we really don’t. I have been studying this for some time now and it is scary how cruel people are to one another.
And the one thing that is the same from year to year is this: reputations stick and can destroy a wonderful future

So, do you really want to take that risk? For what…. a little bit of attention from a boy/girl you probably won’t even remember in a year or two?

My advice: play but play safe.

Of course ppl think sexting is bad they just want 2 seem special that they kno more than the average kid. They don’t give a @&!$ wat the hell it is they shouldn’t ban sexting though I agree wit Cummings (lol love his nam)

Kids can have sex under the age of 18. Most want to and most do. I think people sext because it gets them one more step closer to the real thing. And there is in most cases i believe caladeral(not sure how to spell that. You know in most cases if one person sexts the person they are sexting will send them something back. So if one of them ever distrubuted the picture(s) then the other one could as well. I think the real issue is kids are sexting someone they dont know or dont trust.

I am really annoyed that this blog is supposed to be about the prevention of kids sexting and what not and posting what you view. I am supposed to be looking information up for a research paper. But all you inconsiderate jerks out there have turned this into something about God and the devil. You believe what you believe get over it.

I don’t think that the problem here is the people that are receiving or sending the pictures. One of them has problems. If they expected for the other person to just delete the pictures they would need to get some IQ points. People would want to brag about what they got or use them for blackmail in case the other person pissed them off. Are people really this stupid these days. =~P People will do what they want because nobody likes rules including me
