hi, i was just wondering when exactly streaming will be no. 1) available to use in canada no. 2) will it be available at zip.ca & no. 3) how will i be able to stream i.e., can i download what i want from zip.ca or do i have do buy a program that will allow me to stream, that sort of thing.

zip.ca always fool their customers with wrong information..

they annouced it long time ago and no implementation of such service from their end.

Hey Ch, I think the announcement was related to Zip.ca partnering with Roxio CinemaNow. Roxio CinemaNow is a download/buy/rent/stream service that is embedded on certain devices, here’s the list:

So to answer your question, I don’t think zip.ca offers an online streaming service themselves – just content that you get through Roxio’s service.

Is the service even available? I just checked ZIP.CA’s website and they only send DVDs by regular mail, no online-streaming like NETFLIX in the US does.

I am not a big pc buff but I believe something like a samsung 360 blue ray has internet capability, mine does. But you will probably need a Internet Provider so you might as well pick up a pc and hook them both up. For the price of a pc today you might as well have the best of all worlds.

Suggestion: DVDLink.ca used zip for 2 years until i found out about another great site DVDLink.ca This site is mix of zip(for movies) and gameaccess(for games DVDLink.ca is only site in Canada to offer movies and games for one price. Great selection, price and customer service So far there hasn't been a single incident where I’ve received movies from the bottom of my list. Everything is coming from top 5. Give these guys a try before turning back to local video stores.
