Traveling to U.S.? Pick up Blu-ray player for $128

While many have been waiting for the prices of Blu-ray movies to drop — still hovering between the $30 and $35 mark for many new releases — Walmart in the U.S. is offering quite a deal on a new Blu-ray player, just in time for Father’s Day.

Magnavox Blu-ray Disc Player While many have been waiting for the prices of Blu-ray movies to drop — still hovering between the $30 and $35 mark for many new releases — Walmart in the U.S. is offering quite a deal on a new Blu-ray player, just in time for Father's Day.

Stateside, mega-retailer Walmart is selling a Magnavox Blu-ray Disc player for just $128, between June 14 and June 20.

Yep, while we haven't tested it ourselves, model # NB500MGX is a Full HD (1080p) Blu-ray player (with remote) that delivers 24fps (frames per second) picture quality and HDMI output to connect to a high-definition television.

The Energy Star-certified player is Blu-ray profile 1.1 so you can take advantage of features such as picture-in-picture, if the movies or TV shows support it.

If you've picked up this relatively inexpensive Blu-ray player, let us know what the quality is like…
