Need an inexpensive — yet feature-rich — portable audio player this summer? The Source has just dropped the price of an impressive RCA 4GB model by 50 percent, from $79.99 to $39.99.
This teeny Lyra-branded MP3 player can store up to 1,200 songs, plus it houses an optional microSD memory card for even more songs (or audiobooks or podcasts). Supported audio formats include MP3, WMA, DRM 9 and AAC files.
Flip out the USB connector to insert the player into a PC for easy song transfer (read: no cables to lose).
The player also serves as a data storage unit, voice recorder and FM radio that lets you press a button to record a song you like, then transfer it back to your PC, if desired.
One AAA battery delivers roughly 35 hours of music playback.
Not bad for under $40, yes?

Looks like a good deal at first, but glad I actually read the reviews – not going to get this one for sure!

Hi Shopping Around,
Yes, I've read both good and bad reviews of this player, but my thinking is $40 is a great deal for an MP3 player with this many features.
