Sling_player_for_blackberryBeginning tomorrow, Sling Media, the folks behind the amazing Slingbox family, will offer its SlingPlayer Mobile for Blackberry available as a free download.

Specifically, this SlingPlayer public beta software lets TV fans watch their favourite shows, movies and sports on a compatible BlackBerry smartphone, which includes the BlackBerry Bold 9000, BlackBerry Curve 8900, BlackBerry 8820, BlackBerry Curve 8320, BlackBerry Pearl Flip 8220 and BlackBerry Pearl 8120.

Unless you haven’t yet played around with a Slingbox, these clever home theatre accessories connect to your satellite or cable receiver, and your high-speed Internet connection, so you can access all your local programming anywhere in the world you’ve got an Internet connection on your laptop — and now, your BlackBerry.

You can also change channels remotely as if you were in front of your boob tube at home, and even access any prerecorded content on a personal video recorder (PVR). The Slingbox Pro-HD streams in high-definition.

More info is available to those interested.
