How important is Internet access to you?
OK, so you might not buy the findings that a high percentage of women prefer surfing the Internet to sex but other results from the same Intel-commissioned study is probably easier to, er, swallow.

Last week, Intel Canada released findings from a recent U.S.-based Harris Interactive survey on the theme "Internet reliance in today’s economy."
Interestingly, 71 percent of those surveyed said it is either "important" or "very important" to have access to Internet-enabled devices — such as laptops, netbooks and other mobile tools — for real-time updates on important news, such as the state of the economy.
Roughly 65 percent of adults said they felt they "couldn’t live" without Internet access.
So, what about you?
Personally, I would sooner give up TV, radio and newspapers than the Internet. It is, without question, my news medium of choice and ranks high when it comes to entertainment (trailing video games). Could you go a year without Internet access?

yeah its true, think about how every generation throughout history never had internet, and now we cannot live without it. everyone before us got by just fine, but now we have become so dependant on it, I personally dont feel "right" unless i have checked my emails and my msn is signed in, it is not good, but thats how dependant i have become on it.
As a person that grew up in the "I" Generation and some one that is interested in computers. I have become dependent on the internet for day to day things not just stock market/news medium but as a communication device. It's a tool that shrank/made the world smaller as did the radio/telephone/television. Things as modern society would have a hard time without and it shouldn't come as a surprise that more and more people are dependent on the internet. If there was surveys for the time periods of the invention's listed above I'm sure they would have similar result's.
Well, thinking about it, I could live without the internet, I just wouldn't enjoy it. ^_^
For the first few months anyways, after that, I would gradually find other things to replace the void in my life.
I guess I could survive without Internet access, but it wouldn't be fun or convenient. High-speed broadband access is one of the major criteria I consider before buying a house. If I can't get Internet access – no sale!
I am thrilled with the internet, I am disabled and when my children first got me a computer I thought they were out of their minds, but when I finally figured out how to work it, my world suddenly really opened up. I can talk and send messages to my children, grandchildren, and my sister and brother who live all over Canada, with out the hudge phone bills.I can keep up with the news and all thats going on in our world by the push of a button or sit and play a game with out the inconvience of trying to walk to the store for a paper or finding the right numbers by phone. The internet as I said has made my world a lot easier and brighter, to bad the company's that supply it are not dependable and get away with charging so much to have it. well I guess thats what we must pay for freedom. Internet? Its wonderful.
Watch out! When you start saying things like "I couldn't live without the internet", that's when they feel they have you by the balls. That's when they say;"Hey, you like my website? Now you have to pay". When they realize how much you depend on something, that is when they start to capitalise on the situation. It won't be long until everything you want or like will no longer be free to access but will come with some kind of charges that someone will bilk us for. THAT is when I toss my computer in the garbage!
I think that everyone could live without the Internet, it's just that for some people not having the Internet would completely change their lives while others could get by a lot easier.
Wow. That's unfathomable….
I think I would have to lay siege to my next door neighbors house, and evict him, so that I could use his internet connection.
internet is very important to me
and no way would i give it up
A YEAR – NEVER !!
