Hey guys,

According to a few Windows XP users who posted comments here (I haven't used XP in ages, sorry) the process works the same with Windows XP if you have SP2 installed with Windows Defender.

Best,

Marc

Thanks for nothing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

For those of you who cannot figure this out... you probably should not be messing around with advanced options like this and instead leave it alone, you will mess up your computer.

If you typed "Startup" in the Run box and got an error message instead of a program, then you are probably running XP.

Instructions for getting to the XP startup list were given by Steve on November 13 at 6:57 PM, close to the beginning of the comments list.

Also check the link to a free program posted by Peter Wolchak on November 14 at 10:39 AM, since it could help you not to delete anything important.

Please read all comments before posting your questions, because the most common difficulties are usually answered within the first few days of a tech blog entry being posted.
