Windows is so far behind the curve it a wonder that they can survive at all.

Actually Dusky, Apple was second to come to the market with touch innovation, which is in separate market, telecommunications, with Microsoft beginning R&D in 2003 Refer to wikipedia where Microsoft's research in touch and multitouch interaction with a whole operating system, as opposed to a limited communications device:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Microsoft_Surface#History
Additionally Microsoft has been supporting touch enabled tablet pc's for about 10 years. As opposed to Apples support for touch based devices, or lack thereof, which was so meagre that companies have sprung to mod/hack Ibooks, MacBooks, and MBP's:

You'd think with the internet, with its wealth of knowledge, that you'd be able to discern simple facts like these without spreading FUD

People make me laugh, Apple had to steal BSD code to develop a decent OS to begin with. Don't get me wrong, I love my ipod touch but the technology and ideas used in it are hardly new.

WoW, That's amazing! It'll sure make things alot easier.

Call me old fashioned, but I was already pretty satisfied with the way XP was working already. I do however like the touch screen piano, very cool feature. I could see that pulling in new people.

I've got a tablet pc and i've used iphone and ipod touch. i can tell you right now that while touch is great for handhelds, its not practical for operating systems, a mouse is often faster and more precise. you might as well have to mice if you want to achieve the same thing…which actually sounds kinda cool.

i think that is dumb apple is way better and iphone/ipod touchs are way better

Apple is great to show off at the coffee shop.
When real work needs to be done, Microsoft accomplishes the job.

So i'm guessing you won't need a special monitor for this? What took so long? They should have had this out years ago. We should have an Virtual Reality Windows platform by now.

They don't really say if you need a special moniter.. usually you do. I have grown up with PC and recently got both Ipod Touch and an IPhone.. I have to say, they do A LOT!! My dad is a huge PC advocate and he was blown away by my apple products… so not that wikipedia is considered a great source, even if they had been working on the technology longer than Apple, Apple perfected it and got it to the public much sooner.. so we are more impressed with what we can personally use than just the idea floating around sooner. I'm sure if a company thought of a cure for cancer and another company came out with it sooner.. people would like the company who got the cure out to the public dontcha think? Anyway.. both have their plusses.. so I'm not bashing PC, I just think bashing Apple is just as ridiculous.
