Based on the blockbuster Warner Bros. film of the same name, The Dark Knight lets you assume the role of Batman, who vows to clean up Gotham City’s criminal underground with the help of the police force. But just when the Dark Knight gets things under control, a new reign of chaos is unleashed on the city’s citizens by a mysterious mastermind known as The Joker.
With Batman’s acrobatic fighting skills, special gadgets on his Bat Belt (including Batarangs and grappling hooks) and stealth abilities to remain undetected, you must make your way through dozens of urban scenes – and hundreds of nasty henchmen — before getting close enough to wipe that creepy smile off The Joker’s face.
The game-play resembles console platformers but tosses in a deeper fighting system and puzzle-solving, too.
On a related note, fans of the film can also download a suite of related mobile content, including 31 wallpapers, 14 voicetones, four ringtones and eight animated screensavers.
Price for the one-time downloadable game varies from carrier to carrier but usually costs between $5 and $10.
