How on earth can this be a first? Maybe for HP but I am using a Dell Latitude XT and am very happy with the results. It IS the first tablet convertible that allows you to use your fingers or a non-powered pen besides keyboard, touch pad and track stick! It's less than 4.5 pounds, but keep in mind you will pay a premium unless you do what I did and purchase a refurbished unit saving $2000 bringing it in the same price range as this new HP - yes it's not a mistype, however this is a business unit, maybe Dell will come out with a home office version.

HP is the worst computer ever in the market, my experience with HP has been a shame for the computer industry, my last computer lives in the repair shop 70 % of the time

I think Dr McAulay got a lemon because I have a tx2000 and it is wonderful, I've had it for awhile and nothing has broken. When I read reviews for it there was a major complaint about the heat, but I use the computer in bed, with it sitting on my bare leg and while it does get warm it isn't unconfortable.

If this new HP touch screen tablet PC is anything like the HP 1120tx I bought last year, then stay away from it. The product is garbage. The duo core with Vista runs very hot ---the underneath of the machine is too hot to touch. The fan sounded like a jet engine. The touch screen stopped working 2 months after I purchased it. HP could not fix it. The wireless went next. And then after just limping along using it as a ordinary laptop with a wireless mouse and external usb wireless internet , the motherboard quit. I spent hours and hours talking with the HP tech people who were trying to be helpful but nothing ever got repaired. The product has an appeal (touch screen etc) but it is a piece of junk. If anyone out there needs parts, let me know----if not now, you soon will.
