Every year Future Publishing asks readers to vote on the best gadgets of the year in various categories, and the winners have just been announced.
"Gadget of the Year" goes to the 32GB Apple iPod Touch. The judges write: "Fresh from a number one showing in our Hot 100, the Touch beats off all comers to be crowned 2008′s Gadget of the Year, thanks to sterling music features, plus web and email gubbins." "Why, with much finer audio quality and twice the storage, not to mention no camera of dubious merit or inflated monthly fee, you could even say it’s better than the iPhone. In fact…you have" it continues.
The Apple iPod touch also won for "Best Music Gadget," while the Apple iPhone won "Commuter Gadget of the Year."

Nikon D60 TOTALLY DISAGREEEEE. Canon screwed it with all products. Canon XSI is Waaaaaaaaaaaaay better
Any gadget of the year should be accessible to the masses, including reasonable cost as part of the criteria. Some of these are exorbitant in price, market support notwithstanding. As such I disagree with a number of those listed.
Coolness factor is one thing, affordable coolnes is another. The 32G iTouch is indeed cool…the cost is not. Failing grade.

The guitar is a piece of junk. it feels like it came from a discount dollar store…I do not know how it got the royal stamp of approval from Slash or Tom Morello. The game itself isn't even that good. The only thing it has going for it are the songs.
Ipod Touch 32gb and Macbook Air, How in the world the products were voted for. Macbook Air such an inconvenience, costs the world to own it, and have to carry so many other headaches (which also costs heavily) with it to be able to use it to its full capability outdoors
Ipod Touch 32gb is not for everyone it is classed only for the rich.
There are many things wrong with that list. Its quote obvious that the list was compiled by Mac fan boys. As a former owner of an iPhone, its utterly useless unless you are a bandwagon jumping idiot. There are way better products out there. Its a phone that cant make phone calls and gets horrid reception.
The Macbook air is also a poor choice. Its a useless system that causes many problems for their owners. Its also amazingly fragile. I know 2 people who have had to get the hinge replaced after opening it up normally. Just a thin computer. Wow thats worth the 3X cost.
Nikon D60 shouldnt be up there either. I work as a photographer and have a Nikon that is supplied to me at work and a Canon at home. Both are comparable SLRs that are each about 5 months old. My Canon XSi is so far superior to the D60 at work its amazing. The only thing the Nikon is better at is because it has the SD card and my Canon was the last model with the CF card. Other than that its a poorer product all around.
Best gaming gadget shouldnt be the Wii Fit either. It should be Rock Band 2 instead. Wii Fit would work if it was Best Gaming Gimmick but not overall.
Agreed with PS3 for HD device. Besides being an HD gaming system it does Blu-Ray, Streams music, video from PC internet, and more.
Regarding Image Gadget Winnner, there must have been a time limit on the release date of a product. Nikon D60 is ok but D90 is an awesome camera and is the first SLR with HD vid capture. Canon XSI? lol!!

I wonder how many of the major companies pushing these products paid T3 to even get on the list, let alone to the top of the list?

This car is over $140,000 CDN/US. Find me the average middle income family who could afford one without selling their home. Also, since when is a car a "gadget". It seems the R8 already got enough publicity in the movie Iron Man. Calm down Audi.

Since when is a video game a toy? Also, this game is a disgrace to all real musicians out there who play guitar, myself included. You take a wonderful masterpiece with dozens of chords, progressions and solos and turn it into a blasphemy of four buttons. A better option would be lego or something.
