From multimedia playback and IM chats to photography and Internet access, you can do more with your beloved BlackBerry. Here we look at some shortcuts for faster web surfing.

Regardless of what kind of QWERTY-based BlackBerry you’re using, surfing the Net can be a fast and painless experience – despite not having a touch interface (we’ll see what the upcoming Storm offers).

To speed up your surfing, take heed of the following shortcuts.

* Regardless of what website you’re on, press "G" to go to another website. Pressing this opens up the address window.

* To return to your homepage, press "H."

* Open up your bookmark list by pressing "K" or to add a bookmark, press "A."

* Want to see your history? View a list of web pages you’ve recently visited by pressing "I."

* Refresh the website you’re on by pressing the "R" button.

* View the address for a web page by pressing "P."

* Save a web page to a message list by pressing the "S" button.

* Expand a website full screen by pressing "U" and to return to normal, press "U" again.

* To view a thumbnail version of a web page, press the "X" and press any key to return to normal view.
