LOL@Steve--even though that was particularly harsh.

It brought a smile to my face, I like Seinfeld. The show was funny--the guy, not so much.

If you think about it, Mac commercials don't really tell you anything about the products they're peddling, and if they do, it's minimal (Apple store techs are called Mac 'Geniuses?' C'mon, let's not forget that a wireless keyboard for your superior system costs $115 dollars for a basic model). They only get some sleek dude to represent Mac and some dorky loser to represent PC, and you must believe that even though you might just have growing pains to Vista, or that you're an experienced PC user and you don't like the fact that Vista is toned down for newbies, you MUST SWITCH TO MAC because all of these things are so intolerable, they justify switching to an inferior, overpriced system.

They show one picture of a Mac computer and believe you'll switch just because PC is a dork :)

I can understand why you didn't think it was funny. You are an American right? And you don't get jokes where the punch line isn't explained. That's ok, the rest of the world understands.

I liked it. It makes you think and it is about nothing but if you don't chuckle at Bill Gates giving the discrete shake and Jerry's "I knew it". Well you haven't got any sense of humour. Perhaps you better go to take a course in Comedy 101.

It's a slow commercial on purpose. For heaven't sake if we were rolling in the aisles at Bill Gates first comedy try there would be something terribly amiss. This is a good beginning got me interesting in watching how these two opposites actually connect. Give them a break. It's about comedy... not saving Microsoft. It's about seeing two extremely different genres fuse together. I thought it was brillantly done. Bill the straight man, Seinfelt himself. Hurrah for the two.

Ok. So it wasn't just me. I thought the commercial was funny. And now that I see people talking about the similarities of it and the old Seinfeld show, I can appreciate it more.

The ad was not at all funny in any way whatsoever, and as for the slogan at the end - made me think I should have an "Apple" delicious!
If there is a plot - and I doubt there ever will be, it will likely continue in Seinfeld tradition - nothing, nothing at all, and fade from memory like Jerry almost managed to do - not a good way to re-show yourself.
Nothing is what MS is 'progressing' into - if their software continues it's giant slide backwards too.

I don't think its a one ad thing. merely an introduction to a bunch of ads with the two of them. kind of like a mini plot which will engage the audience for sure. And don't tell me you honestly don't want to find out what is it that's so delicious that Microsoft has in store. It's humerous and entertaining, with a friendly kind of feel and two likable characters. Overtime people will start to love these characters as much as the apple characters and do remember it is an intro whose purpose is to introduce these new characters and introduce us to the next big thing. Microsoft did an excellent job and should continue these ads. And Jerry Seinfeld is great.

Without a doubt the worst ad campaign I've ever seen. It speaks of nothing, there's not a mention of Vista and Seinfeld is so passe. If anything the ad reaffirms Gates' geek persona and with little effort the creators of the Mac campaign that this is in response to could crush it. Mac vs. PC is one of the best campaigns of the last couple of years. Yet again, Microsoft falls short of Mac. If the ad firm who did this campaign had any sense they would have done something of a parody on the US election and spoke of Microsoft's huge lead in the polls (that is, market share).

Wow, that's really bad! Seinfeld added a bit magic to American Express with his Superman ads, but this is awful!
