In the upcoming SingStar Counrty, gamers will be able to sing along to 30 hits from today’s hottest country artists, including Keith Urban, Taylor Swift, Faith Hill, Rascal Flatts, Brooks & Dunn and Jessica Simpson.
These karaoke-like games — including SingStar Pop, SingStar Rocks and SingStar ’80s — let players sing familiar songs into a microphone, while their performance is graded on rhythm and pitch. The real music videos play in the background, while the lyrics appear near the bottom of the screen.
Is this something you’d play? Hey, country isn’t my cup of tea, but it’s about time video games embarced the popular genre, as video game soundtracks are always rock, techno or hip-hop.
I've been playing the singstars since they came out, I own every version available in Canada and I cant wait for the country version which has a lot of HIT songs on it. Other versions don't have the blockbuster singles on them. I just wish I had bought the backward compatible ps3, to play these on it. PS3 singstar songlist is not very good.
