Sync’s Dollar Daze: Pick up a cassette adaptor for $1.50
We were appalled to find cassette adaptor for a car stereo for $35 at a big box retailer – oh, let’s just say their name rhymes with Shuture Shmop – when you can buy the same thing for $1.50 at a dollar store.

If your car has a cassette deck and you want to listen to your favourite MP3 player’s tunes through your stereo, you can pick up an inexpensive Wellson cassette adaptor for just $1.50 at your local dollar store.
While the quality isn’t the best, cassette adaptors are still more reliable than wireless FM transmitters, which I think suck – especially in big cities when it’s hard to find an unused spot on the FM dial.
All you need to do is plug the fake cassette into your stereo and on the end of the cord is a 3.5mm headphone jack, which plugs into your MP3 player, phone or portable DVD player. Press play on your device and you’re good to go.
So, don’t spend more than $1.50 for one of these, which you can find at various stores such as 99¢ Depot, Everything For a Dollar an Dollarama locations.

There are many bargain galores in Dollar Store: Network cable, cell phone charger (plugged into the cigarette socket in your car), Lithium button batteries (3 in a pack) and laser beam pointer (not banned in Canada) et cetera.
