Due out this September for all major console platforms, MTV Games/Electronic Arts’ Rock Band 2 offers a slew of new game-play features and enhancements over its 8 month-old predecessor. Curious about the 80+ new songs? We have the complete list.
The sequel to one of the hottest music games in history features newly-designed instruments (including a wireless and quieter drum kit); new solo and multiplayer game modes (such as a “Battle of the Bands” online competition); unlockable characters, instruments and venues; and the ability to import most of the original Rock Band tracks.
But what fans have really been after is the songs included in this sequel – after all a music game is only as good as its track list. We have the entire line-up for you, and to get you even more excited all are from the original master recordings and includes some special treats such as Guns N’ Roses’ new track, “Shackler’s Revenge,” from the highly-anticipated album “Chinese Democracy.”
As with the original Rock Band, gamers can download additional tracks from the Internet, plus Rock Band 2 will play all original Rock Band downloads.

wireless drumkit sounds like alot of batteries to me, wonder if they have the option to plug it in.
Maybe a USB recharge feature for the drums, like the 'plug and play' kit for XB360 controllers. I'm liking that they've quited the drums down… it's so hard playing Rock Band with a friend on drums because I can barely hear the music I'm trying to play…
Good setlist, quieter, more authentic drums…I'm down for this one.
pretty good setlist, but i think they should put kryptonite by 3 doors down in it
Wow! What a great setlist! "That's What You Get" by Paramore and "Nine in The Afternoon" By Panic! At The Disco are both amazing songs. They would have to be my top two favorite songs!
holy crap all of these songs suck
you gotta be joking, paramore and panic at the disco suck!
I want 'The Pretender' by the Foo Fighters!!
and i agree with BLAH about the 3 Doors Down song :-)
It's kinda hard to get excited sometimes about the game, when you don't know most of the songs. I know well maybe four or five of those songs, and maybe might know that many more if I hear them. I'm all for downloadable content, and I wish there was a real way for modders to put their own favoured songs into the games more easily. I like Guitar Hero, but at the same time I doubt I'd ever buy it myself because it just seems too much money for too many songs I don't know. (And then Rock Band adds on all the instruments you have to shell out for, too. -_- )
Do they really need to release a new game every time they want to release new songlists? Can't they just have premium downloadable content? It'd be a lot cheaper if you wanted the new songs but were fine with all the stuff you already have (including the game), will they offer just the tracks that are on RB2? Amy is right, that stuff is expensive.
They do not release new games whenever they want to update the setlist. There has been DLC (downloadable content) Ever since the game released. Btw, Every song you have for RockBand 1 (including the songs on the original disc) will be able to be exported to Rockband 2.
Oh, and all yor instruments from Rockband will worck with RockBand 2 as well
*work
Yeah if you dont want RB2, the DLC will still work with RB1. But you'll just miss on the new features.
And the new GH is full band too….
Better get good jobs if you want them both, not sure intruments will be compatible with the other.
On topic, Ive only heard a few of these songs.
F*K YEAH RATT
