The free Shazam app from the Apple AppStore is one amazing tool.

Whenever a song is playing, simply hold the iPhone up to the speaker and tap the "Tag Now" button. Within seconds, you’ll not only see the name of the track, who sings it and the album it’s on, but you’ll also access album artwork, related YouTube videos and the option to preview and download the track from iTunes.

Tagged songs remain in your My Tags list, plus you can share these tags with others via email.

The Shazam app has a database of nearly 5 million tracks, and growing.
