I think it was a fair test as well, it is definitely an impressive laptop. Although, like a couple people have mentioned already, I would really have liked to seen it in use after you poured the water unto it. Even a little move of the mouse would have been nice.

Not really that much of a test. Most new laptops have a seperation between the keyboard, and the rest of the computer. You can put a PC keyboard through the dishwasher if you want. You just have to make sure that you dry it before you use it. The reason that water ruins a keyboard is when the keys are depressed they send an electrical "pulse", and the electricity comes into contact with the water, hence ruined keyboard. The keys and the touchpad weren't used after the water in this demonstration, not a very scientific test……….

Thats actually a very good test, I'm unsure as to why people are beating on him about it? He obviously took the time to try this out and possibly ruin a 2600 laptop on the statement that it is "water resistant".. lets see some of you make a video of you pouring a full glass of water on your 900 "water resistant" digital camera.

If you want to be amazed, pour that same amount of water on your exiting laptop and see what happens! Just kidding...I didnt want to drown the laptop...it's not waterproof...it's water-resistant...and that small amount of water is probably more than you'd accidentally spill on it...just trying to show what it can do...

I agree with "Quagmire", they should have used a thicker fluid…my son recently vomited on his laptop, and now it's toast – obviously…Almost a grand lost in one "upchuck" :( (sigh)

They should have tried a thicker fluid like lotion to see if it ruins the PC...I know Ive messed up a few doing that
