Say cheese, indeed. Sony Ericsson Canada today announced the C905 Cyber-shot smartphone, the first that packs an integrated 8.1-megapixel camera.
Available this fall, Sony Ericsson’s C905 Cyber-shot slider will be the company’s most advanced camera phone to date, capable of taking 8.1 megapixel photos (yes, with a phone), which you can view immediately afterwards on its 2.4-inch scratch-resistant LCD screen.
Other camera-related features include a Xenon flash, face-detection auto-focus, image stabilizer and 2GB of included memory (M2 card) to store it all.
Wireless features include the ability to beam photos to another Bluetooth phone, email or MMS them, upload them from the camera phone to a favourite blog or online social networking site, such as Facebook, or use the handset’s integrated Wi-Fi to send to a compatible PC or TV (via DLNA). Alternatively, a USB adaptor is included in the box to easily transfer photos to-and-from a PC.
Available in black, silver or gold, the C905 will also include integrated GPS, a beefy media player and many built-in apps for on-the-go productivity.
No Canadian carrier has yet confirmed support for this GSM-based smartphone but it’ll likely be Rogers Wireless. Stay tuned to Sync for all the details.
