What Google’s ‘I’m Feeling Lucky’ means?
Interestingly enough, I’ve been asked twice in the same week by Sync readers what Google’s “I’m Feeling Lucky” means on its search engine website. You know, that button just below the search query window. If you’re wondering the same, but haven’t yet clicked to find out first-hand, here’s the scoop.

Google’s "I’m Feeling Lucky" button simply bypasses its search results and takes you to the first webpage that best fits what you typed in.
For example, I typed in "Marc Saltzman" (who hasn’t typed their own name into Google?) and instead of clicking "Google Search," I clicked on "I’m Feeling Lucky." It took me to the CFRB.com, the Toronto-based talk radio station that carries my weekly call-in technology show.
If I clicked "Google Search," however, I’ll see a list of many websites I write for, such as Sympatico MSN and Sync, USA Today, CNN and others — but at the top of the list is CFRB, which is why "I’m Feeling Lucky" took me there.

Seems to me it just limited your options. Wake up .

I am surprised that there are folks who would go through the effort of asking somebody what it does instead of just clicking the button for themselves.
