MP3 player mistaken for a firearm
As you read here at Sync the other day, Simon wrote about the trouble UK music fans might face for downloading pirated songs, and thanks to CrunchGear now we hear about a Brit thrown in the slammer after he was wearing a MP3 player and listening to a bootleg of Guns N’ Roses’ unreleased Chinese Democracy. England’s Darren Nixon was on his way home from the garage, where he works as a mechanic, and was listening to his Philips GoGear. For some reason, the police thought the MP3 player in his pocket was a pistol and was arrested at gunpoint and thrown into a cell.
"I was really shocked when I saw the guns. They were pointing them right at me. It was a pretty scary experience. I had no idea what was going on" said Nixon.
After the police realized their error they dropped him back off at home with an apology.
Apparently it had nothing to do with listening to this pirated album, but it makes you think!

I was watching the news the other day and they aired a story on how some firearms companies are disguising guns as cell phones. To you or I it might not look like an actual cell phone, but from far away, secluded in somebody's pocket or being partially obscured in someone's hand, this could pose a definite threat.

Well I'm in Canada so I don't have to worry about that. HA!

No doubt. Hard enough to get a gun that actually looks like a gun in Canada, let alone those. Legally, of course.
