The Japanese video game giant earned an Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for excellence in engineering creativity.
The Japanese video game giant earned its second Emmy from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences for excellence in engineering creativity.
For the second year in a row, the Nintendo Wii was honoured for its innovative motion-sensing controls, attracting non-traditional gamers as well as veterans. The award also recognized the Nintendo DS platform for its pioneering touch-screen control scheme and distinctive dual-screen display.
The award was presented last week in Las Vegas, at the annual Technological & Engineering Emmy Awards.
What’s next for Nintendo hardware? Over the next few months, expect the Wii Balance Board, for use with the Wii Fit collection of exercise and stretching-related games, activities and challenges, and a wireless Wii Wheel that will be bundled with the forthcoming Mario Kart racing game.

I love the Wii… Don't have one yet but everyone else I know have it so I go to play over there. I heard about a problem about wrist joints being damage due to excessive play (Similar to CT syndrome). Maybe Nintendo needs to do some "proper use" or a warning video before the game start on some games and might win another award on Health…

In response to 'A Navales' The Wii does provide several health warnings when you turn on the system and load any games.

I mean more comprehensive ones sort of like calistenics. Not like the ones they have right now or like the warnings on a flight just before take off where no where you just ignore it. I bet ya Marc S.does this a lot. Enjoy yor trip at CES Marc!!

The wii is the best but I cant wait for the mario kart! One thing though is that it does severe stuff to your body if you dont know how to take care of it but it is way better then the 360 , playstations(No offence I love it to) and gamecube !

I had my Wii ever since June 2007 and its better than any system, and it does not cause any problems if you use the wii equipment properly. The wii remote is sensistive, theirfore you should move the remote alittle more less sharply to not cause personal injury.Only thing don;t like about wii is that its wi-fi stock is small and connection sucks even when the connector is in the next room.for portable system i don't like the my ds graphics and then to buy the browser, and music pack compared to my limted edition star wars psp i got on christmas. its graphics are amazing and it has, great games, photo, browser, music, psp movies, and videos.
