The prize? A $10,000 prize pack consisting of a 50-inch Viera high-definition plasma television and home audio system, plus a trip to the Whistler World Cup event in February 2008 to catch all the action up close and in person. During their stay, the winner and a guest will attend the World Cup Gala and have a chance to ski or snowboard at the renowned Whistler Blackcomb Mountain.
Beginning Tuesday, December 4, movie aficionados must visit www.panasonicactionfan.com and upload a video, up to one minute in length, showcasing why they should be crowned the ultimate action fanatic.
The contest runs until January 7th, 2008 and is open to residents of Canada, excluding Quebec.
According to a recently commissioned Panasonic poll (conducted by Decima Research), 54 percent of respondents say they'll be curling up to a hot action flick over the holidays -- naturally, Panasonic hopes they'll be watching it on on of their slick plasma TVs.

Hey Marc, I've been shopping for big screen eye candy lately and just have to tell ya that I am seriously considering taking Panasonic of my to see list.
The reason being that somehow the company See's the population in Quebec as being less of an "Ultimate action Fan" and would therefore exclude us from there contest.
I know there are different criteria for contests here in Quebec but it seems that other companies are able to fulfill those requirements. The people that make those rules or requirements are not always in my opinion the brightest of stars but as I pointed out other BIG companies such as Microsoft etc. have and do offer contests for the whole population of Canada.
When these companies say open to all CANADIANS they mean it. When I see the (EXCLUDING QUEBEC) included in the rules and Reg's it kind of makes me think that this company dropped the ball on there play.
Seems to me that I work my butt off being a Canadian and I as many here would consider themselves ULTIMATE action fans. Oh ya! I think I've got a grip on how skiing works! Hee-Hee.
Is the Damn contest open to ALL Canadians or not. From what I read it seems to be open to only some Canadians. Some would say if you can't stand the heat stay out of the kitchen and I guess as far as Panasonic goes out of my living room as well...
See ya, Ray.
