Our #1 was a 40" Sony Bravia 1080P HD LCD TV, which we managed to get at a better price prior to Xmas than the boxing day sales.

Ditto on the 42" Sharp Aquos D72 1080p HDTV. An excellent unit and cheaper than the Sony Bravia. I totally recommend it.

I really adore my Zippo lighter especially when I'm lighting a cigarette when it's windy. Other than that I like my little reading light for those nights I stay up to read the sensational new book, "And God Created Manyberries" published by Frontenac House.

The best tech gift of the season was the Tom Tom GPS I bought for my wife!
Now she can find any address she is long for with just the press of a few buttons.

Like two other people have said already, mine has got to be the 42 inch Sharp Aquos 1080p D72. Best TV ever, picture quality and black levels are amazing. And unlike other TVs it can do 1080p through component cables. Play my 360 and HD movies on it all the time now.

I received the new Samsung P2 touch mp3, video player. I gotta say, it's pretty awsome. Though I've a few troubles getting videos, I still manage to get my music and photos in easily, and some movies in there too. And the EmoTure touch screen is off the hook.
Still waitin' on the Zune and Iphone to be distributed in Canada though.

I have to say the Wii… that thing is ridiculously addictive
Just plain fun.

My coolest thing was the PlayStation 3! It's a media centre, blu-ray/DVD/cd player, plays PS2 and PS3 games. Built in wireless internet, multi card reader, etc.
I probably will not upgrade my home computer when the time comes, I'll buy a keyboard and mouse and just use the PS3.
Excellent buy!

You're going to laugh. My daughter's Fisher Price Digital Camera for Toddlers. Although it is not high tech as "Adult" cameras, it prints real digital pictures and allows the inner photographer shine in your chile. Plus it saves the life of your phone/blackberry/digital camera etc. since toddlers won't be dropping them anymore. They can just drop their camera which is super protected. Great, smart invention. Hopefully in the future they will make kids' cameras with more advanced technology.

Xbox 360 definitely. Best games, best online system, best windows media extender, best graphics. The only thing missing compared to PS3 is blu ray, but HD DVD is superior anyway (special features mainly)

I would say the Toshiba's HD-Dvd player. It came with 2 free movies and 5 mail in offer. It's awesome, the picture quality and the upconversion is just something u have to see in order to beleive. It didn't cost that much and it's wayyy better than a blu-ray too and cheaper and looks sleek and stylish. Get the A30 model!!
