NextarMarc: I want to buy an MP3 player as a "stocking stuffer" but don't want to spend $79 on an iPod Shuffle. Any suggestions?

Yes! You can buy a 1 gigabyte MP3 player for under $20. No, it's not an Apple product but you'll find they not only store as many songs as the iPod Shuffle – about 250 or so – but it'll play more music formats and include features such as a voice recorder and an LCD screen so you can see the name of the song.

For example, Canadian Tire is selling a black 1GB Nextar MP3 player for $19.76 while Toys R Us has a pink model for $24.99.

TigerDirect.ca has a deal on Mach Speed 1GB MP3 Player for $14.99 after rebate.

Happy holidays!
