Along the way Homer will interact with key characters from the hit television show and movie, including family members Marge, Lisa, Bart and Maggie, as well as residents Apu, Moe, Barney and Mr. Burns. Homer must also avoid the likes of Office Lou and Krusty the Clown, who have their reasons for stopping Homer in his tracks.

While you control Homer with your phone’s 4-way directional pad or number buttons, you must also avoid hazards including burning tires, deep sinkholes and cars that might flatten him. Missions include finding Homer’s keys at home, racing against the clock through the downtown core and finding a way inside Springfield Power Plant to avoid the meltdown.

While on the short side, this EA Games adventure features colourful graphics, smooth animation and amusing sound effects.

Is this the end of Springfield as we know it? Will Shelbyville remain unscathed?

Check with your carrier to see if they carry this game, which should cost about $5.
