Philips has just announced its aptly-named Bodygroom, an all-in-one body hair groomer designed to remove hair “everywhere below the chin…including the sensitive areas below the belt” says the press release.
Ouch!
It goes on to suggest “with warmer weather on its way, it’s time for men to shed their woolly coats, and prepare to show some skin.”
Yes, don’t you hate it when you’re buck naked at the church barbeque with an embarrassing mullet in between your legs?
Now, I’ve heard of a Brazilian wax before but this is a bit much. This “manscaping” tool, as Philips calls it, is allegedly less painful and less expensive over time than waxing, and more precise than razor blades.
Um, usually I don’t like to read "razor blades" and "groin area" in the same paragraph.
Philips maintains a well-groomed body is not only aesthetically pleasing, but is important for comfort and hygiene, too. What — didn’t you know shaving body hair removes trapped bacteria that causes body odour?
OK, I’m as “metrosexual” as the next guy, but would you use this thing? Or admit publicly? Tell us if you buy into this below-the-belt “hair today, gone tomorrow” philosophy.
The Philips Bodygroom is available nationwide for $59.99. Read more about it at — you guessed it — www.shaveeverywhere.ca.

Real men have body hair, little boys don't.
How do I feel about this product, or 'manscaping' in general? It's ridiculous. It's mesogynistic.
I think this is a great product. Women can use it too and if it makes shaving below the belt easier and its cheaper and less painful than waxing, then why not? Plus, there are guys out there who aren't "metrosexual" who still like to keep their overly hairy chests to a minimum.
I believe Marc may have knocked this product down without giving it a fair chance. I should remind you that women do not find that unsightly rug on a man's back attractive, and if we need to 'clean up' below the belt, why can't you do the same? You may be pleasently surprised with the results (and so might your significant other).
I'll definitely give it a try. I may not be walking around nude all the time but the fact that I no longer need to have a bare blade anywhere I can't see without contorting into an awkward position sells the tool in and of itself. And if the results are satisfactory, I may become an unofficial salesman.
Islam requires Muslim men (and women) to shave below-the-belt- so there have been billions of people already doing this for the past 1400 years (Phillips might have unwittingly stumbled upon a huge market).
There's definitely hygenic benefits to this plus your significant other will love it.
This is an awesome idea although there are already products out there like this just not marketed this way. Yes men have hair, boys don't but keeping it trimmed and undercontrol is just good for both sexes. Just test the theory shaving your armpits. You'll sweat less, and smell better longer. Hair causes heat because it's for warmth and is a breeding ground for all types of bacteria. Whether you go all the way or just trimmed the bottom line is the ladies love it and who doesn't like to be touched more by their ladies…am I right guys?
My initial reaction is something along the lines of "less painful and cheaper than waxing? More precise than razor blades? Thank heavens for metrosexuality…. as long as it was primarily a strictly female market, those issues were never a priority". How many women will stampede to buy this item? Plenty! It truly IS a man's world, isn't it? ;~p

Getting rid of the hairy ape look on the back, shoulders, and belly is acceptable. For some guys it may even be an improvement.
Come on. The 70's are over. Trim that thing!!!
I have been using this device since it came out in the US last year. I went to buffalo and purchased it. I use it to shave my back, my chest and stomach and most importantly my cock/sack and the inside of my ass crack about once every 6 weeks. I never used such an easy product in my life. Its painless and leaves your skin silky soft. If you love the look of porn cock, this is the device for you:)
"Not by the hair below my chinny chin chin"………
My wife swears she'll leave me if I so much as shave off my beard again. As it leaves the top of my head, and manifests itself EVERYWHERE else, I have received no complaints from anybody.
Girls enjoy men alot more when they're groomed "below the belt". I beleive the back in the summer needs attention but shaving your chest is only alright if your a professional wrestler. I have a hairy chest and always have a supply of women who think it's manly and love running their fingers through it.
Oh please guys, don't shave below the belt! Trimming is good but don't go bald.
Steve….
keep the language appropriate.who needs the vulgarity.these people are just trying to sell a product, not break into the porn business.
Every guy wants to be bigger, shave the bush and you look 1 inch longer.
Men are supposed to be hairy, and when you're an ape like me, tell me where are you supposed to start? Further to that, I have no lack of action whatsoever, and many find it a huge turnon…Don't buy into the metrosexual agenda, some men actually look better with their hair so don't mess with a good thing!
I agree, it is a man's world. Same result sought but they get to do it the painless, easy and cheap way. What I want to know is, who came up with the idea that body hair which grows naturally is undesirable for both sexes anyway? And actually, feeling that you need to get rid of all the hair on your body can be considered a type of OCD behaviour. Amazing what is encouraged in the name of marketing, eh?
don't be such a big baby! guys go on all the time about women and their body hair and preference for the lack of. please grooming is not for just the neck up for either gender.
